My first job in finance was a tax-prep internship in college. About as far from a CEO’s chair as you can get. From there, I worked nearly every seat in between: accountant, auditor, analyst, controller, CFO, and eventually CEO. I did it at small companies and big ones, startups and scale-ups, growth-stage companies and a few that didn’t make it — the kind that end up as cautionary tales instead of case studies. Going up and down that ladder, across all of it, gave me a view most people in this industry never get: I’ve seen exactly where a finance function breaks, from the inside, at every level and every stage.
Here’s what that taught me: no single seat can carry a business on its own. A great controller with no strategic CFO on top is just very organized data. A great CFO with no reliable books underneath is flying blind. So we built Level10 CFO full-service and advisory-first from day one.
