PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Glaire knew she wanted to be an Accountant since she was very young; she was inspired to follow in her father’s footsteps. Fortunately, she discovered an affinity for the world of debits and credits during college. After graduating, she spent the first five years of her career in a Financial Accountant role at Eastern Telecom, where she focused on general accounting and AP, preparing and analyzing month-end reports and financials, reconciling accounts, ensuring compliance, and implementing processes and procedures. In 2004, Glaire began her ten-year tenure at Chevron Holdings, a financial shared services unit of Chevron. She joined the North America AP team as a Travel and Expense Accounting (TEA), Purchasing Card Helpdesk, and Card Administrator, taking a front-line role in assisting Chevron’s North American employees with questions, concerns, and technical support. She then worked in Accountant and Analyst positions, including serving as Lead Accountant focused on TEA and PCard accounting, ensuring accurate and timely transactions in SAP, managing and training her team, resolving complex accounting issues, maintaining bank relationships, and establishing and improving processes. In her fourth year at Chevron, Glaire was tapped to be sent to Angola on a 28-28 rotation as an AR and Bank Reconciliation Mentor and Supervisor. This required spending 28 consecutive days working and returning home for 28 days off, which she remembers as a truly remarkable experience.

In 2009, Glaire began working as a Credit Controller for Chevron’s small- to medium-enterprise clients in New Zealand, responsible for credit management, accounts reconciliation, collecting aged debts, forecasting, and more. Glaire then handled a portfolio of key customer accounts in Hong Kong as a Credit Analyst, analyzing and monitoring counterparties’ financial standing, outlook, risks, and opportunities. Her final role at Chevron gave her valuable exposure to Chevron’s oil and gas business: As a Trade Accountant, Glaire reviewed trades — each of which could involve as much as $100M — for accuracy, completeness, and timely reconciliation; identified and resolved issues; added new layers of controls; and provided financial reporting and variance analysis on P/L and balance sheet accounts. Ready for a change, Glaire left Chevron to spend more time with her family, and enjoyed some time off before joining a government office for a three-year program involving significant travel. She and her team monitored how communities spent the Typhoon Yolanda-related funds granted and loaned by the Asian Development Bank and World Bank, working with local officials and community volunteers to establish and improve finance and accounting processes and procedures. She joined Level10 CFO in 2022.
MORE INFORMATION
Glaire was born in Manila and now lives in Rizal Province, just outside Manila. She absolutely loves staying at home — almost as much as she loves traveling. Glaire is truly passionate about travel, spending months in advance of each trip diligently researching key places to visit, where and what to eat, transportation schedules, what to wear, weather forecasts, and even back-up activities (in case it rains). Her go-to destination is Japan, since the country’s food, culture, and disciplined, honest, gracious people make her feel wonderfully at home. Glaire also enjoys playing the stock market.
