PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Gerson started his career in 2019 as a freelance bookkeeper in his province. At that time, he handled about five clients, mostly sole proprietors and partnerships, and one corporation. He prepared financial statements and tax returns in this role. He worked across various industries, including trucking, real estate (with four locations), t-shirt printing, and sanitation services. After freelancing, he became an accountant for a US plumbing services company, which was his first experience with an international job. His most recent job was as a financial analyst with Starcom Media Group Incorporated in Manila, an international advertising company. In this role, he gained significant experience managing different locations and performing variance analyses. At Level10 CFO, he will primarily focus on financial analysis, assisting with budgets, forecasts, and ad hoc reports for clients, working closely with CFO Maggie and others like Cathy Becker and Derek. He left his previous job because they transitioned to a hybrid setup, and he prefers the work-from-home setup. A successful project example he shared involved performing variance analysis for a coffee shop subsidiary of Starcom with 20 locations, identifying non-profitable stores which led to management decisions to close them down and open new ones. This experience demonstrated his ability to use his expertise to help a company.

Gerson recently got married on January 30th this year. He is considering taking the CPA exam, noting that previous attempts were canceled due to the pandemic. He completed his MBA (Master’s in Business Administration) at La Salle University and hopes to graduate by next year and then take the CPA boards. Gerson describes himself as an outgoing person.
